How to get there

Situated 50 km north from Lucca, the valley is crossed by the Garfagnana Strada Regionale 445, which links the Abetone and Brennero Strada Statale 12 to the entrance of the A15 Parma-La Spezia highway (Aulla, 49 km from Castelnuovo di Garfagnana).
Other ways are:
Monte del Cipollaio: connecting Garfagnana to Versilia (50 km)
Passo di Pradarena: connecting Garfagnana to Reggio Emilia (130 km)
Passo delle Radici: connecting Garfagnana to Modena (125 km)

Also, public transports are functioning, with trains and buses.

BY CAR:

• From LUCCA: Follow signs to Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, then proceed to Villa Collemandina and finally to Corfino.
• From AULLA:Follow signs to Garfagnana, then proceed to Castelnuovo, Villa Collemandina and finally to Corfino.
• From MODENA: Follow signs to Passo delle Radici, then proceed to Castelnuovo, Villa Collemandina and finally to Corfino

Tip: Type on your Sat-Nav “CORFINO, Via della Madonna 21”

BY TRAIN: You should take train Lucca-Aulla, stopping at Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. From here, you can reach Corfino by bus or by taxy (approx. 15 min).

BY PLANE: Pisa Airport G. Galilei. From the airport you can take the bus to Pisa Central Station where you can take the train to Lucca – Castelnuovo di Garfagnana – Piazza al Serchio – Aulla.
